SCC Achieves Success with UK Quality Assurance Agency

We are delighted to share the news of a successful Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) Educational Oversight Review in May this year. The report has now been published on the QAA website.

The QAA is an internationally recognised body providing quality assurance and enhancement for higher education in the UK and internationally. The UK Quality Code for Higher Education sets out the principles for securing academic standards and assuring and enhancing quality in UK higher education.

Speaking about the review process, Ross McDonald, DC, Principal, said:

“We are pleased to have worked closely with our growing student community throughout this review process and look forward to continuing this journey with them to graduation and beyond.

Meeting the standards required for this independent quality assessment affirms that although we are early in our development as a higher education institution, we are realising the high standards we always set out to achieve.”

The QAA report confirms that the Scotland College of Chiropractic is fully aligned with all 12 Sector Agreed Principles of the Quality Code. The QAA also identifies several features of good practice, including:

  • Our management of quality processes.

  • The high level of engagement with our practice providers.

  • The wide range of funded extra-curricular opportunities we provide for our students from the onset of their degree to enable them to engage with the wider chiropractic community.
